The Canadian government announced new COVID-19 measures for international travelers

- Air Canada, WestJet, Sunwing, and Air Transat are suspending all flights to the Caribbean effective today.
- International flights can only land at 4 airports Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto.
- All travelers entering Canada from the U.S. land border will need to be tested upon arrival and demonstrate a negative test
- Travelers will have to wait for up to three days at an approved hotel for their test results at their own expense — which is expected to be more than $2,000.
- Those testing negative will be allowed to quarantine at home, with increased surveillance, while those testing positive will be quarantined in government facilities.
- Travelers to Canada must also use the ArriveCAN app to send their information to Canadian border services officers.
